The New Yorker recently published an article that emphasizes the importance of contacting an attorney as soon as you learn that you may be charged with a crime.

Police officers often apply a technique known as The Reid Technique to coerce suspects into confessing to crimes that they did not commit.

Remember, you have the right to remain silent and the right to an attorney.  If you suspect that you are being investigated for committing a crime, you should contact an experienced criminal defense attorney right away.
